Writers & Editors/One-on-One annually brings together eight national magazine editors and 65 experienced freelance writers for a weekend of dialogue and exchange, capped by speed-dating-style "one-on-one" pitch sessions. Now in its 15th year, the nation's leading "one-on-one" conference typically results in more than $60,000 in assignments in the first six months alone.
In our ongoing effort to bring you the most exciting conference and best value for your dollar, this year's conference is moving from Chicago in July to The American Club in Kohler, Wis., in October. The idyllic, five-diamond American Club Resort is about 50 minutes northwest of Milwaukee. Renowned for its nationally-acclaimed golf courses, guests also rave about its innovative Kohler Waters Spa, the nearby boutique shops and the quaint village of Kohler itself. It also has superior conference facilities which will help foster good relationships with magazine editors - the relationships that have been the hallmark of this conference for the past 15 years.
